CHECK OUT OUR WRITING!

As we write personal narratives we work on telling the story in a step-by-step way, and include details, action and dialogue to make the stories come alive. The students are proud of their writing and would like to share it with you.

MAAC CLUB

What is MAAC Club? MAAC stands for Miles Across America Club. It is a program that was developed by Jon Case. We try to go out at least once a week for 30 minutes and run/walk as many miles as we can. I keep track of individual student's miles and the students earn a running bead for every five miles they run. Once they have traveled 25 miles, they enter the Marathon Club. When they reach 50 miles they enter the.....club. When they reach 75 miles they enter the ....club, when they reach 100 miles they enter the ...club and when they reach 125 miles they enter the Royalty Club. At the end of the year the students will run a 5K. Every student who completes the 5K will earn a medal and the top student runners will earn trophies. Parents are encouraged to run with their children.
